Windows 11 Through the Windows 10 Update
Easily, the quickest way to download Windows 11 on a computer is through Microsoft’s Windows Update. To do this, you’ll first need to check that your computer meets the minimum requirements using their PC Health Check Tool.
Simply search PC Health Check on your Start menu and open the app. Click on Check now inside the PC Health Check app to ensure your computer is ready for the update and then proceed with installing it.
Once you’re certain your computer is ready for the Windows 11 upgrade, navigate through the Windows Settings and check for updates by clicking on ‘Check for Updates.’
If you choose to update your version of Windows, it will check for the latest version and if available, will install it.
How to Get Windows 11 Through the Windows Installation
Looking to upgrade your PC? If you’ve already checked for updates and Windows 11 isn’t available quite yet, you don’t have to wait any longer! The Windows Installation Assistant will help you install it on your computer.
Installation Assistant: First, go to the Windows Installation Assistant by clicking the Download Now button. Once the download completes, click on the file and follow instructions to upgrade to Windows 11.
Windows 11 Manually Through the Windows 11 Installation Media
Another way to get a copy of Windows 11 is by making a bootable drive with the Windows 11 Installation Tool. Go ahead and head over to Microsoft’s website and download a tool that will allow you to make your own Windows installation media.
Once you’ve downloaded the Media Creation Tool, run it, and click Accept. On the next page, you’re probably going to want to use most of the default options which is why making sure your PC has all updates installed is recommended so select Next.
When configuring the computer from scratch, don’t forget to plug in the drive USB flash. Otherwise, you won’t be able to start it up. Select your preferred flash drive from the list and let the Media Creation Tool download and install the Windows image.
When prompted, insert the flash drive you’d like to use with Windows 10. The setup process will begin after a while. Once the installation process is done, you should have a configured disk that is reusable to boot into Windows 11 again.
