Until recently, running Android apps on your PC required the use of an emulator. The release of Windows 11 brought with it the Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA), a feature that allows developers to run their apps on Windows. How to Run Android Apps on Windows 11.
It was originally only available for Windows 11 Insider builds, but as of February 2022, it is now supported on Windows 10. With this tool, you can run Android apps on the stable channel of Windows. This will make it easier than ever to run Android apps.

How do you find the build version of Windows 11?
If you are not on version 22000.526 or later, then you will need to update your copy of Windows. To find the version of Windows you’re running, press Win+R to open the Run app.
To access the About Windows app, type winver in the Run window. If you are running an older version of Windows 11, you will need to update. Open the Start menu, select Settings, and then click on the Windows Update tab. Click on Check for updates.
When prompted to download and install updates, click on Download & Install.
This session will enable the Virtualization Machine Platform on Windows 11.
Next, you will need to enable the Virtualization Machine Platform. To do so, start by going to Start > All Programs > Turn Windows features on or off and opening the app.
Click the checkbox and then press OK to select a virtualization machine platform. After you install Windows, the program prompts you to restart your computer. Click Restart now and wait for your computer to restart.
Install the Amazon Appstore
To run Android apps on your computer, you will need to download the Amazon Appstore. The Google Play Store is not officially supported on Windows 11, though users can use workarounds to install it.
Download the Amazon Appstore, and start by going to the Microsoft Store. To find the Amazon Appstore in the Microsoft Store, search for Amazon Appstore and click on its icon.
To install the software, click the Install button. It’s important to note that if you are using a computer that has a local Windows account, If you have not already signed in to your Microsoft account, you will need to do so now or else you will be unable to access the site.
To use the Amazon Appstore, you must log in to your Amazon account.
Using the Google Play Store
As we mentioned earlier, the Google Play Store is not officially supported on Windows. However, some developers have found a way around this limitation by developing unofficial apps that work with Google’s Android operating system.
To allow you to sideload the Google Play Store on your PC, we have made tools available. Getting the Google Play Store to run is more complicated than getting the Amazon Appstore working correctly.
Third-party tools are necessary to run these projects and since Microsoft may nerf these projects with future updates, they may not work on your PC.
